Friday Photo: What a View!

This week's Friday Photo, by Susan Mastellone of Silver Spring, caught our attention with the sculpture in the foreground, photographer off to the side and skyline in the background. Mastellone's description of her photo, which she took in early August, grabbed us, too:

"I took my 19 year old daughter to NYC, and when the Guggenheim was closed on Thursday we went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. We took the elevator to the rooftop gallery and were awed by the totally amazing views of NYC! A group of elementary age school kids from a city summer camp were on the roof at the same time. As tourists snapped away to capture the views, I heard one of the kids look around at the frenzy and say, 'It's just the regular old New York skyline!!!!' Had to laugh!!"

Now it's your turn. Have a photo you'd like to share? Here's how to send it:

1. Email ONE photo per week to us travel@washpost.com. Put "Friday Photo" in the subject field, and include your name, address and phone number.

2. Write a paragraph explaining what's going on in the picture, when you took it and why it's significant to you.

3. Photos should be from a recent trip, voyage, getaway . . . whatever you want to call it. But try to keep it within the last month or two or three.

4. Winners will receive a Travel totebag; allow four to six weeks for delivery. Winning entries are subject to editing. Employees of The Post and their immediate families are not eligible. No purchase necessary.
