Carell Plays It Straight

One reporter said to Steve Carell that he has a movie out ("Little Miss Sunshine") and that his NBC comedy, "The Office," had just won the Emmy for best comedy series. But, the reporter added, this night is supposed to be about TV, so, she asked, "What do you like about TV more than movies?" -- and no, she wasn't kidding.

Carell, ever the gentleman, gave her a serious answer: "It's very immediate; we shoot an episode in five days. There's not much time to become precious about much of anything. ...I think for everybody the element we like -- it moves very quickly."
