Norma Redux
Joan Collins, who duked it out with Linda Evans in Aaron Spelling's "Dynasty" a million years ago, and who appeared on stage tonight as part of the tribute to Spelling, went all Norma Desmond in the General Press Room:
"Do you want me to talk about my play, which I'm rehearsing with Linda Evans?" she asked reporters rhetorically before they could ask the first question.
"It's called 'Rehearsal' and it's about two feuding actresses -- which is good for Linda and me -- and a whole bunch of people are trying to get them to do a play," she said, patting her enormous hair, then placing her hands on her hips and turning ever so slightly so as to minimize her hipline for the cameras.
"We left yesterday after rehearsal and are leaving tonight on the re- eye to get back tomorrow."
