The Donald
Donald Trump came to Winter TV Press Tour 2007 to talk about his NBC reality series, "The Apprentice." But, naturally, TV critics wanted to hear the latest on his feud with "The View" co-host Rosie O'Donnell. You know, the dustup in which O'Donnell questioned his fitness to give Miss USA a second chance after word of a drinking problem got out, and pageant owner Trump fired back that O'Donnell was a loser and he was going to send someone to steal away Rosie's partner, etc.)
"Number one, I have no regrets. I think I exposed her for what she is and she's terrible. She's just a terrible human being and I understand that because, you see, I knew Rosie long before this. She's a terrible, disgusting human being. Not very smart and she's got a lot of problems, to put it mildly."
Warming up to his subject, Trump called Rosie "a bully," adding, "The one thing I have learned, I learned it in high school. I learned it before high school. When you're attacked by a bully, you hit the bully hard right between the eyes. Hard and fast. And that's what I did."
Trump's only regret about the kerfuffle is that, he says, "The View's" ratings have gone up as a result.
"I feel badly for me.... I feel terrible about it."

He's right about one thing. Rosie is a nasty bully, and she's just now really gotten herself into a very public position to show it off. But I remember hearing the same thing about her during her talk show, just that it was kept backstage most of the time (one notable exception was her attack on Tom Selleck).

Trump calling anyone a nasty bully is like the pot calling the kettle black. It's funny that the View's ratings went up while HIS new show pretty much was a bust. Looks like he hit himself right between the eyes, or right between those steel balls, as it were. Notwithstanding all the bravado, he must be bending over groaning.

I agree- I have some experienced with ROsie "The BULLY" O'donnell. I used to work for a film company in California. She was very nasty and mean to everyone on the set. I will never wwork with her/for her again.

Ah, The Donald. What a wacko! But, he does make for amusing television, at least in interviews.... He's so full of himself, and I think he's fine with having made himself a caricature. It certainly makes him a lot of money. I haven't ever watched the Apprentice this season, but I did see I think the lead-in on a preview where he goes driving into this mansion and meets his wife with their baby.... Did anyone see that? Ultimate cheese, man! I think he's funny to laugh at -- hope people don't really think that's what businessmen are like.

Rosie O'Donnell is a despicable human being.

Selleck deserved the "thumping". He makes an ad for the NRA and then claims he's not a spokesman for the organization? Please, that doesn't pass the giggle test.

Why does the press have to keep bringing up this stupid feud? Two big fat overly self-centered egos fueled by the gasoline media. Please. Enough already!
PLEASE STOP!
PLEASE!!!
PLEASE!!!
PLEASE!!!

Rosie may be a nasty human being, but Donald is no prize either. He has no problem publically flaunting his affairs in the press where his wife and kids can see it. I'm sure Ivana and Marla Maples could tell some stories if they weren't bound by the confidentiality agreement I'll bet The Di*kwad had them sign.

Based on your close personel relationship with her?

Both Rosie and The Donald need to get over themselves. We don't care what they think of each other. They are both no-talent thugs. Stop the madness !!!!!

Er...pot, meet kettle. Not only did Donald humiliate both of his former wives (Ivana, by his public affair; Marla, by saying "when I saw her walking down the aisle, I was already tired of her"--what kind of person says something that cruel? To the mother of his child?), he also attacked Martha Stewart for absolutely no reason whatsover. I love his huffiness about Rosie's comments--I'm sure Martha Stewart thought exactly the same thing. Except that she responded politely.
Yay for better ratings on The View! Thanks, Donald! (I don't even watch the show, I just can't stand him.)

I'm a bleeding heart about the Idol freak show, but these two are "successful" people with (nearly) the requistie # of marbles, so... But still, it's so icky. Miss Manners, where art thou?

Rosie O'Donnell, no matter how difficult she may be to work with, does a hell of a lot more for all kinds of charities than Donald ever will, and for that you have to give her some credit.

I have it on good authority that Rosie O. is a despicable human being--that is if I'm allowed to refer to her as human.

Trump = douche bag. Period. Why "journalist" don't call him on this crap is really unbelievable. The ratings were going up for the View long before Trump had his prissy meltown. Yet no one pointed that out did they?

I'm still pissed off at whoever thought casting Rosie O'Donell as Betty was feasible let alone doable. I have not seen the Flintstones still!!! I agree with The Donald here . . .
