Fox's New Primetime Schedule: The Details
Fox will officially announce its 2009-10 TV season primetime schedule to advertisers at Manhattan's New York City Center, behind Carnegie Hall, in just a little while. And, finally, here's what you need to know about the new series:
GLEE
Fox's buzz-iest new series stars McKinley High School 's Glee Club, which used to be at the top of the show choir world, but has turned into a haven for so-called social outcasts. Optimistic high school teacher Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) will try to refuel his own passion for singing while re-inventing the school's gleeclub and challenging these underdogs to realize their star potential. It's from Ryan Murphy, creator of "Nop/Tuck."
THE CLEVELAND SHOW
THE CLEVELAND SHOW follows "Family Guy's favorite soft-spoken neighbor, CLEVELAND BROWN (Mike Henry), to his hometown in Virginia as he settles down with his high school sweetheart, her unruly kids and his own 14-year-old son, CLEVELAND JR. (Kevin Michael Richardson).
BROTHERS
Starring Michael Strahan ("FOX NFL Sunday") and Daryl "Chill" Mitchell ("Ed," "Veronica's Closet"), BROTHERS is a new half-hour comedy about a former NFL hot shot is living the high-life in New York City until he gets a phone call from his MOM (CCH Pounder, "The Shield") who orders him home to Houston to help his brother CHILL (Daryl "Chill" Mitchell), whose life was altered drastically after a car accident left him in a wheelchair, and who is struggling to keep his restaurant afloat.
HUMAN TARGET
Based on the popular DC Comics graphic novel, HUMAN TARGET is a full-throttle action drama centered on CHRISTOPHER CHANCE (Mark Valley, FRINGE), a unique private contractor/security guard who completely integrates himself into his clients' lives in order to become the human target.
PAST LIFE
From writer David Hudgins ("Friday Night Lights"), and inspired by the book "The Reincarnationist" by M.J. Rose, comes PAST LIFE, a new drama series about an unlikely pair of past-life detectives who investigate whether what is happening to you today is the result of who you were before.
SONS OF TUCSON
In the tradition of "Malcolm in the Middle" and "The Bernie Mac Show," SONS OF TUCSON is a family comedy about three brothers who hire a charming, wayward schemer to stand in as their father when their real one goes to prison.

aieeee! Why are they moving Fringe up against Grey's Anatomy and CSI? Which one of those three shows do I stop watching?

Wow -- Fringe up against the Office and Grey's Anatomy. That's the end of Fringe for me.

Okay - I like Michael Strahan as much as the next former NFL-er (if not more), but I've got a gut feeling that's going nowhere fast...
Also - The Sunday line-up means King of the Hill is dead & gone?
I wonder, also if they did some cross-over research and realized that a large portion of their Fringe viewers were also Bones viewers (I'm in that group). That could easily tear me away from Grey's - which is getting worse by the minute.
