Craig Ferguson: Don't Hold Dave to Jonas Bros. Standards
It was back to business at CBS late night on Monday. Craig Ferguson got to weigh in on his boss, David Letterman, who last Thursday announced on air he was the victim of an alleged blackmail attempt over his sexual relations with female company staffers.
"Well, I guess by now you've all figured out how I got the job," Ferguson says at the top of "Late Late Show."
His show is, of course, owned and produced by Letterman's Worldwide Pants production company.
"If we are now holding late night talk show hosts to the same moral accountability as we hold politicians or clergyman -- I'm out. I'm gone."
"I like a bit of danger in my entertainers," he continues.I quite like my entertainers to be dangerous.I like my musicians to be kind of drug-fueled. Cause if you want entertainers to be squeaky clean then who are you going to be watching - Jonas Bros?
"Exactly!"
Here's the video. Enjoy:
