Kelsey Grammer Replaced by Charlie Brown
ABC is bumping Kelsey Grammer in favor of Charlie Brown.
ABC has decided to preempt Grammer's low-rated new Wednesday 8 o'clock sitcom "Hank" with a second night of "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" on Oct.28.
The Charlie Brown special will already have run at 8 on Tuesday -- on ABC. Yes, the network apparently believes more people will watch a second consecutive night of a 43-year-old old animated Halloween special than a new episode of "Hank."
This is particularly embarrassing for Grammer -- that Wednesday isn't even a sweep night and yet ABC is yanking his new show after just four episodes. (The November sweep ratings derby starts the next night: Thursday, Oct.29.)
