Donald Trump irked at Salahi's Miss USA claims

Add this to the growing list of reasons NBC Universal might want to hold off on splashing Michaele and Tareq Salahi all over their Bravo network's new reality series "Real Housewives of DC."

Donald Trump, who owns the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants with NBC Universal, has learned the couple submitted pictures for a December 2008 article in a polo magazine identifying Michaele Salahi as a "former Miss USA."

No record exists of her winning that beauty crown,The Post's Neely Tucker reported Friday.

And Trump takes a very dim view of women who pretend to be winners of his beauty pageants.

"She couldn't have been a former Miss USA if she'd tried," Trump told The TV Column Friday.

We wondered why that was.

"Because she doesn't' have It ," he responded.

"Generally speaking," he explained, "you can look at [imposters] and say 'no way'" because actual winners are "all very beautiful."

Oh, snap!

"This is disgusting," Trump said when he learned of the Salahi Miss Universe ruse. He also called it an affront to all the women who work so hard through the "huge process" it takes to become Miss USA.

"This tells us they are total phonies," he said of the Salahis.

Trump said his people "come down very hard" on anyone who tries to pass themselves off as a winner of one of his pageants, in order to protect the franchise.

Friday afternoon, the president of the Miss Universe Organization, Paula Shugart called and told told The TV Column that yes, in fact, they are investigating Michaele Salahis.

Get in line.

I agree with Mr. Trump. The is well packaged but in the end not that attractive. She is quite flat-chested -- she should have saved on fancy salons and saved up for a boob job.

Second, the has an abnormally long giraffe-like neck. She tries to hid it with her hair but can't pull it off.

Overall, she is a physically-attractive woman, but pageant contestants are a cut above.

how ironic-trump got his start with dad's apartments and the salahis have destroyed the family winery. both are more interested in style than substance. michaele would be wonderful on trump's reality show or selling things for macy's.

The couple who channels Frank Abagnale (remember Catch Me if You Can?) The fact that two people cut from the same cloth can find each other and accentuate the negatives in their partner is sad. Lesson for the masses: Question things people tell you. Trust BUT VERIFY. There are plenty of charlatans out there. I'm betting there is one hell of an identity theft operation promulgated by them which is yet to be discovered which is finanicing all these shenanigans!

The one thing that the Salahis are: liars. She never was a Redskin cheerleader, or a Miss America. The pair of them have stiffed or shortchanged anyone they dealt with.

Would love for IRS to put their charity under examination.

The pair could be best described as "white trash."

I met the Sahali's in 2005 and was very impressed with them. They were very friendly and my husband and I enjoyed spending time with them on a cruise. What a disappointment to learn many of the things they shared with us were lies. They both bragged to us that she was a former Miss USA as well as many other false statements. She also gave me a card with photos on it...this was back in 2005, photos which she now claims on her Twitter were taken in 2009 in Paris. I'm sad for them that they are so wanting to be admired that they lie to impress others. My heart actually goes out to them at this time and they are in my prayers.

I too despise people who behave like the Salahis, but I have nothing to add about them on this space. My comment is about Donald Trump's claim that the "legitimate" contestants "work so hard" to qualify. Yes, it must be very uncomfortable to get their lips and boobs inflated, and tushies "Brazilian-butted"! And the nose jobs... Very painful. And how’s Carrie Prejean?
