CW orders new dramas about cheerleaders and assassin chicks
CW has ordered two new dramas for next season: one about a cheerleading squad -- wonder where they got that idea? -- and another about an assassin-chick.
Meanwhile, the network has split the baby, ordering back for next season both its bubble shows -- the ratings-anemic "Life Unexpected" and aged "One Tree Hill", which will probably have to share a timeslot.
"Hellcats" is the cheerleader show; it's a coming-of-age drama about a pre-law student who loses her scholarship and has to join the college's competitive cheerleading squad. "High School Musicals's" Ashley Tisdale is among the cast, but not the lead role
"Nikita" is the assassin-chick drama; it stars a martial arts expert who goes by the name Maggie Q and who had a role in "Mission Impossible: III. She will play a spy and assassin for a top secret U.S. government agency, who rebels against the system that created her and will stop at nothing to bring their powerful operation to an end, CW says.
More to come...

From the headline I thought it was one show about cheerleaders who were also assassins. That would be a lot better.
