Fox: We'll unveil "Idol" judges Wednesday. Whatevs.
*Fox issued a news release late Thursday announcing it will unveil its new "American Idol" judges panel and let show host Ryan Seacrest tag along, at a news conference on Wednesday morning in Los Angeles at the same forum where the show is going to hold its Los Angeles auditions that same day.
Does anyone still care? This story has been aging since late July.
Meanwhile, put your money on Jennifer Lopez, who, according to latest reports, has signed only a one-year deal -- not that it matters. Ellen DeGeneres, after all, had signed a multi-year deal -- and she was gone after just one season.
Also expected to be unveiled as a new judge on the singing competition show: Aerosmith rocker squirt Steve Tyler.
And, of course, Randy Jackson, who somehow is the only surviving "Idol" judge.
