Fox News re-signs Bret Baier to multi-year deal

Fox News has announced it has signed Bret Baier to a new, multi-year deal and he will continue as anchor of Fox News Channel's 6 p.m. news program, "Special Report."

Baier, who took over "Special Report" anchor duties from Brit Hume in January 2009, previously worked as Fox News Channel's chief White House correspondent and national security correspondent. He has been at the cable news channel since 1998.
