Connolly Endorsed by Green Groups
Gerald E. Connolly (D), chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, on Tuesday will announce endorsements from three environmental organizations: the Sierra Club, the Clean Water Action Project, and the Fairfax chapter of the League of Conservation Voters.
Connolly, who is seeking his second four-year term as chairman, will announce the endorsements just before his first debate face-off with Republican challenger Gary H. Baise.
The debate is being hosted by the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce. The debate is scheduled to begin at noon at the Westin Tysons Corner.
