Democrats Already 'Tracking' Gilmore on Tape

Tim Craig

Let the games begin.

According to Democratic sources, either the Democratic Party of Virginia or the Mark Warner for Senate campaign had a videographer, known as a tracker, infiltrate the Republican Party Advance this weekend in Crystal City. The tracker shot footage of former governor James S. Gilmore III, the likely GOP nominee for Senate, and other speakers at the annual Republican retreat.

As has been well documented, a tracker helped bring down Sen. George F. Allen (R-Va.) in last year's U.S. Senate race. Because it's 11 months until the 2008 election, Virginia Democrats appear to be raising the stakes in what is sure to become a heated campaign.

No word on whether the current Democratic tracker is a college student, as was the now infamous S.R. Sidarth, the Democratic tracker who captured Allen's "macaca" remark on tape last August.

Do the Democrats really need to infiltrate Republican functions to "catch" Gov. Gilmore?

Isn't he quite capable of putting his foot into his mouth in public as well as in private?

macaca spelled backwards is repubican.

The only way Republicans can stop this is to ... wait for it ... FIGHT BACK. They won't. Because they are Virginia Republicans, about to preside over an historic collapse of their power in this state. Fight these clowns, my Republican brothers and sisters, with tactics just as tough, or you will lose. Lose. Got it?

Its funny that the party who is constantly blathering on about Big brother invading everyones lives is the same party doing that exact thing. The republicans should do the same back. When the democrats start saying things that out of context look like they hate the country, then their candidates will go down in flames.

Now Sen Webb had to ask Sen Macaca's people to not follow him into the bathroom. Republican's do it too.

Gilmore would do this...if he had any money.

The GOP alienated a moderate in Davis, and Gilmore is sure to provide the kind of raw red meat the GOP loves, and Independents hate.

"The republicans should do the same back."

Have you forgotten the illegal listening in on phone calls? How quickly we forget, or is it choose to ignore?

Both parties do it and the "kool aid drinkers " in each party justify it by saying they do it because the other guys do it.

Add this to Lauren's things which Independents hate.

Isn't there enough tape of this buffoon from his term as Governor?

Thank God Gilmore is running . . .

The Democrats are a sure thing to pick up another Senate seat.

I love it when Republicans do themselves.
