George Allen Endorses McCain

Tim Craig

Former Virginia governor George Allen (R) today endorsed Sen. John McCain's bid for the Republican nomination for president.

Allen, who had been a supporter of former senator Fred Thompson, said in a statement that McCain "has led a life of heroic service to our country."

"His experience coupled with his strong belief in core conservative principles makes him uniquely prepared to serve as our next commander in chief," Allen said. " I am confident that he is the only candidate who can combat the threat of radical Islamic extremism, ensure our country's economic prosperity, stop wasteful Washington spending, and uphold our traditional values."

This is great! The Washington Post can spend the next year making every headline and story about John McCaca

Tim, I didn't think you were capable of writing about Allen without working in the "m" reference. Were you distracted when you wrote this?

I employ all people of color not to forget about tomorrow. Yesterday Bill and Hillary were the wonder team among the African Americans but today they are perceived as Racists who do not like black people. Where is the outrage? Remember what Joshua said, I do not know about you but my family and me will serve the Lord" That said I mean to say that we cannot bite the finger that feed us during the dry season because there will be another dry season.

I have nothing against Brodo Barrack or his decision to contest but let Black people not make it seem like the Clintons are there enemy and this is where I have some problems. I have not seen anything said by Bill or Hillary that has the undertone of disdain against black people or diminishes the role of African American Leadership past and present. Please let us not kill our Doctor because the diseases are still out there. The media is not doing us any good by defining for us whom our friends are but I already know that. I hope that this whole hype about Obama's candidacy will not turn out to be a republican machination to install one of their own again into office and if it is then we are screw big time.
