Obama Plans Big Rally at Nissan Pavilion

Tim Craig

Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, the likely Democratic nominee for president, will hold a rally Thursday evening at Nissan Pavilion in Prince William County.

The event is free and open to the public, but admission will be on a first-come, first serve basis. The pavilion, located in Bristow, can seat up to 25,000 for a concert, but it's unclear how it will be configured for a political rally.

Doors open at 3 p.m and the program begins at 6 p.m. Obama will also hold a town hall meeting in Bristol in Southwest Virignia Thursday afternoon. Tickets are required for that event.

Obama said we can't drive our cars any more. Isn't this kind of a long walk from our neo-urban Meccas?

You could take the GOP approach and prey for the 66W traffic to part. Never seen it before, but you have to have faith that it can happen.

Hello my fellow Americans. I encourage you to skip my opponent's rally for 25,000+ enthusiastic people at Nissan Pavilion today, and to attend my rally instead.

I will speak at Covington Road Elementary School's gymnasium before my bedtime, which is just after the last episode of Matlock. The event is hosted by the 22 members of the Covington Senior League. You might want to bring your own coffee, because lately (for some reason) people have been falling asleep at my campaign events.

Thanks, John

It's amazing that many, either Republicans that scewed everything up or Democrat (ala Hillary sore losers?) bystanders make fun of someone and try to paint him as a "messiah" type. He will fix many things aand many things won't be repaired (fubar), but give the man his due! He is seeking office in one of the most troubled times in our history. He will need everyone's support. God bless him and God Bless America!

Posted by: joe | June 5, 2008 11:02 PM

Capacity is 25000. About 10000 were there.

I told you so. Love, Hillary

Posted by: hillary | June 6, 2008 6:57 AM

Hillary you are a liar, Barack Hussein is our Messiah and if he had a rally in Virginia than there were no fewere than 17 million people there. Maybe 10,000 fainted, but even that would be low.
