Even Republicans Are Waiting By The Phone

Richmond's political chattering class is on edge as it relates to Sen. Barack Obama's (D-Ill) expected imminent announcement on who his vice-presidential candidate will be.

Numerous Republicans in Richmond have signed up to receive the text message from Obama's campaign announcing his selection.

"I signed up last night, I couldn't take it anymore," said one senior GOP staffer, who declined to be identified so they are not outed for now being on Obama's mailing list.
