Kaine-O'Malley Jam Session in Denver with The Govs

Anne Bartlett

It sounds like Maryland Gov. Martin O"Malley threw quite the bash Wednesday night at an Irish pub in downtown Denver, where he and other Democrats were attending the Democratic National Convention..

In what has become a staple of O'Malley parties, the governor took the stage with his guitar to sing a few songs. But, this time, O'Malley had some help from other governors in entertaining the crowd. After O'Malley started playing, Virginia Gov. Timothy M. Kaine joined him and started playing the harmonica. Earlier in the week, Kaine played the harmonica for the crowd at his own party.

As if the OMalley-Kaine band was not enough, Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer joined in by playing the cow bells. Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano played the tamborine.

"We were like the Patridge Family," O'Malley said. "The over-the-hill gang"

The Rev. Jesse Jackson also attended O'Malley party, but didn't join the band.
