Webb to Campaign With Obama in Lynchburg

Sen. James Webb (D-Va.) will campaign with Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Lynchburg, according to party sources.
Obama (Ill.) has apparently scheduled a stop in Lynchburg, which is home to the late Rev. Jerry Falwell's Liberty University, after he campaigns with U.S. Senate candidate Mark R. Warner (D) in Martinsville.
But Webb won't be Obama's choice of a running mate, Webb aides say. Last month, Webb sent out a statement saying he did not want Obama to consider him as a potential running mate. "He has said he is not interested in the position and is out of the running," said Jessica Smith, Webb's spokeswoman.
After his Lynchburg stop, Obama is expected to spend the night in Richmond.
