Biden Will Mingle With Mine Workers Saturday

Democratic vice-presidential nominee Joe Biden will campaign Saturday in Southwest Virginia.
Biden will join Gov. Timothy M. Kaine (D) at the annual United Mine Workers Fish Fry in Russell County. U.S. Rep. Rick Boucher (D-Va.), who was an early Obama supporter, will also be there.
Biden's visit comes as Virginia Democrats are trying to shore up support for Obama in Southwest Virginia, where he failed to get 15 percent of the vote in several counties during the Feb. 12 primary.
Obama, who has been endorsed by the United Mine Workers, made his second visit to the region last week.
Biden will be spending two consecutive days in Virginia. He will campaign today in Loudoun County.
