Actors Hit Trail for Obama

Actors Blair Underwood and Megalyn Echikunwoke will stump for Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) this weekend across Virginia to try to encourage residents to register to vote before Monday's registration deadline.

Underwood, a Petersburg native, currently appears in the HBO series, In Treatment, and ABC's drama Dirty Sexy Money. Echikunwoke recently starred in Who Do You Love and is best known for appearing in the first season of 24.

They plan to hold public campaign events Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Richmond, Emporia, Norfolk, Hampton Roads, Alexandria and Springfield. They also plan to attend some private church services Sunday morning in Richmond.
