McCain to Hold Rally in Prince William County

Tim Craig

Republican presidential nominee John McCain will hold a rally Saturday in Woodbridge in Prince William County, according to GOP sources.

The event will be McCain's second campaign stop in Virginia in less than a week. Yesterday, McCain and his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R), held a rally in Virginia Beach. Palin also held her own event in Richmond.

In recent weeks, Prince William County Board of Supervisors Chairman Corey A. Stewart and other Northern Virginia Republicans have been urging McCain to return to Northern Virginia. Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama and his running mate, Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.), have already held several events in Prince William County.

Prince William could be a key swing county in the Nov. 4 election. Although President Bush won it easily in 2000 and 2004, both Gov. Timothy M. Kaine (D) and Sen. James Webb (D-Va.) narrowly carried Prince William in their races in 2005 and 2006.

Prince William County is Jeff Frederick country. If Jeff shows his face, or supports McCain in any way, I'm voting Democrat. Frederick is a disgrace to the party.

The event will be 2 p.m. this Saturday at the Sean T. Connaughton Community Plaza at the county administration complex off the Prince William Parkway.

People in NOVA are getting smarter. They see what is happening across the river. There may be a good size crowd that shows, but nothing compared to the support that Obama would get from this area. VA isn't McCain Country (even though his signs claim it is)...

Can't wait to support an American hero - McCain. There are two very different visions and I'm smart enough to know that Obama's vision will screw the average American, financially and culturally.

Thanks to John McCain for sticking up for us. If not, Obama's efforts to redistribute wealth will turn us into a socialist country. That is not what this country is about.

Obama needs to be honest with what his real agenda is. Do some research into his past and his associations and you will see.

SALUTE to not just an american hero but one with the right values to lead this country out of its mess that was in play way beyond the past 8 years. Let's not pin every fault in this country on Bush over the last 8 years. As much as he didn't get things right, no one did anything right for this country the way it should be way before his presidency. John Mccain is the answer simply because of his track record, his experience and his honorable character to stand up what is right and to put the american people first - not just play politics in pursuit of his own personal interests like the good O Obama and his socialistic ways which is NOT what this country needs. Simply let's just say if you want LESS government, more money in your pockets and more say in the way your life should be managed, Mccain's the better choice.

Obama has been in it for himself from the very beginning. When he ran for the Senate it was just a stepping stone to get to the White House. He isn't in this for the country, but for his own self interest.People are blinded by his shining light, and refuse to see what his priority really is.

Way to go Maggie, there are alot of us who agree with you. I'll be there with you supporting our true American hero, John McCain. Don't listen to V. Brown's nasty comment. The only ones who have made race an issue at all in this campaign are the liberal democrats. I'm amazed at the vicious attacks, lies, and downright evil tactics coming from the liberal left in this country. It doesn't matter what color Obama is, he's just not qualified on any level to be President. Obama knows nothing of John McCain's sacrifice for our country, his honor, courage and committment. I'm with McCain all the way.
