Good News for Democrats in Arlington County?

Tim Craig

In a sign there could be a huge Democratic turnout for tomorrow's election, two out of every 10 voters in Arlington County has already cast an absentee ballot.

According to statistics from the State Board of Elections, 22 percent of Arlington's 149,000 registered voters have submitted an absentee ballot. Democrats leaders are hoping that Barack Obama can get at least 75 percent of the vote in Arlington, a Democratic stronghold.

Arlington is on pace to double the statewide average. Earlier today, the State Board of Elections announced that about 10 percent of all registered voters statewide had already cast an absentee ballot.

But Arlington County has received 33,294 completed absentee ballots, three times as many as it process in the 2004 presidential race. That year, just 8 percent of registered voters in Arlington County voted by absentee ballot.

By comparison, traditionally Republican Virginia Beach has processed 21,383 absentee ballots so far year. That is twice as many as 2004, but still just 8 percent of the total number of registered voters.

Voters have until tomorrow evening to submit a completed absentee ballot to their local registrars office.

The battle is over President: liberty verus liberality.

The battle of Valley Forge, we want liberty this our footing or heritage we are fighting for McCain just happens to represent that..
We want to Perserve our Nation & stick to Liberty way of living..CHOICES.
THAT IS WHAT AMERI-CAIN IS PROMOTING TO HAVE CHOICES NOT OUR LIVES BOXED IN A BOX OF SOCIAL IDEOLOGY..

AS PERSON OBAMA & HIS FOLK SHARE THE AMERICAN DREAM FROM THE HEART OF THE SIXTIES.
BUT DOES OBAMA HAVE THE SAME HEART OF THE FOLK OF THE SIXTIES IS THE CALIBAR SIMILAR TO THE KINGS VIA HISTORY, I AM SORRY NOT LIVING ABROAD FROM THE UNITED STATES HE WAS SHELTERED BY WHAT WAS GOING ON IN THE SIXTIES.
HIS FOLK IS DIRECTLY FROM KENYA NOT AMERICA.. HOW CAN HE APPRECIATE WHAT EVERYONE HAD TO PAY THE PRICE FOR.. OR EVEN HONOR.. WELL I HOPE THIS IS THE MAN YOU WANT..FOR YOUR SUCCESS.

BUT FOR US IN AMERICA WE ARE CHOOSING A CANDIDATE FOR LIBERTY, PROSPERITY & PEACE.
REGARDLESS OF FOLK, BUT A HEART THAT IS GENIUNE AND HAS HISTORY IN AMERICA LONG ENOUGH TO PROTECT & APRECIATE AMERICA.. MCCAIN.

THE BEST TO THE DEAR FOLKS DREAMS FOR THE SIXTIES.

As a disabled Iraq war veteran I humbly ask you to research Obama on the internet before you vote for him. There's lots of videos on him in his own words on youtube. Search Ralia Odinga. Obama campaigned for Odinga in Kenya on the promise to instate Sharia Law. Odinga was backed by radical Islamists. When Odinga lost the election the radical Islamist murdered more than 1,000 people including 5o women and children that were burned alive in a Chrisitan churh.

Is this the change you are looking for?

I have been an Obama supporter for 22 months. I have reseached everything, read his books and heard almost all of his town halls and rally speeches. You all are the ones who have not properly and thoroughly researched him OR John McCain. Your ignorance and willingness to spread it has been staggering. Anyway, let's leave it alone now. We are all Americans and we will all have to work together after November 4. Peace. Obama 08.
