GOP Who?

Here's one word you won't here in Bob McDonnell's new ad, featuring cameos by his wife and five children, nor in his earlier ad about his experience: Republican.
Not once does the former attorney general mention that he's seeking the governor's mansion as the GOP's soon-to-be nominee.
It used to be Democrats in Virginia who played that game, running for statewide office without mentioning their party affiliation. That it's now the Republican says a lot about how purple the state has become--and how much the GOP may be worried theirs is a damaged brand, particularly in liberal Northern Virginia.
