$500,000 More to Attack McDonnell

Anita Kumar

This is getting serious.

It's only May and national Democrats have already sunk more than $1 million into attacking Republican gubernatorial nominee Bob McDonnell.

Today, the Democratic Governors Association reported to the state that it donated another $505,000 to Common Sense Virginia, a group formed to spread the word about what it calls McDonnell's "conservative legislative record" and his close ties to religious broadcaster Pat Robertson.

The DGA had previously given the group $854,000.

Officials at Common Sense Virginia said the group will provide counter-programming about McDonnell through TV and Internet ads, canvassing and phone calls.

The group began airing TV ads in Northern Virginia, Richmond, Norfolk and Roanoke this week.

Tucker Martin, McDonnell's spokesman, has called Common Sense Virginia an out of state group funded by labor union that uses fear to win votes.

McDonnell, who has no Republican opposition, also has started receiving significant funding from outside groups, including $1 million from the Republican Governors Association.

Subject: The incompetence, dishonesty, and penchant for political self-destruction of the extreme right, pseudo conservatives are on full display this morning and, once again, never cease to amaze!

Oh! What a glorious morning! The bright light of truth has once again exposed the Lies of the Right!

Finally, a group of reporters has shown the courage to cut through all of the political spin (lies) and report the truth. It has been a long time since I have felt this good about a newspaper article/opinion. Check out:

I don’t think Bob McDonnell or his uninformed supporters will appreciate my excitement and amusement!!!

But, I do want to see Bob McDonnell as the Republican candidate for Governor in November!

Have a Nice Day!

I thank SamBear for posting the link, so we can read the Pilot's attack ad ourselves. Was this paid for by the Dems and so called "Common Sense Virginia?" We need someone who not only looks out for the short term easy answer, but the long term strategic asnswer for the Commonwealth. Ensuring the Federal Government does not dictate to the state is important, and the assurances Bob seeks are necessary. SamBear will not only see Bob on the ballot, but in the mansion, come November.

looks like SamBear is a paid Democrat staffer. He has copy and pasted his comment on other sites.
