About the Bloggers -- Ben Pershing

Ben Pershing covers the D.C., Maryland and Virginia congressional delegations for The Post, which he joined in January 2008 as a congressional blogger after a decade at the Capitol Hill newspaper Roll Call. He was a reporter there for several years -- covering House and Senate leadership and committees, Congressional campaigns, the Capitol Police department and more -- before eventually becoming Deputy Editor.
A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, and a Los Angeles native, he remains loyal to the Dodgers and Lakers but recently went through a messy divorce from the Raiders. He lives in Washington, DC.
