First Deeds Thesis Ad Airing in Northern Virginia
Democrat Creigh Deeds is running his first ads in Northern Virginia since his June primary victory. He's putting up radio ads only for now, which are of course far cheaper than television commercials. And guess what the ads are about? Righto! Bob McDonnell's 1989 master's thesis. Or rather, in the words of the ad, McDonnell's "plan to take us back to the dark ages."
Hear the ad here:
The ad of course does not mention that McDonnell has said he no longer believes key portions of his thesis, particularly the parts that form the thrust of the ad -- comments in the thesis about women in the workplace. Also, interestingly, the ad is thethe first mention of Pat Robertson's name by the Deeds camp in this year's campaign.
