Warner Blitz for Deeds Is Under Way

Amy Gardner

Democrat Creigh Deeds debuted a new campaign ad today featuring Mark Warner, the U.S. senator and former governor whose popularity surpasses any other elected official in Virginia.

Expect to see plenty more of Warner between now and Nov. 3. Warner has committed to work every weekend for Deeds between now and Election Day; he's also hosting a fundraiser at his home in Alexandria.

Here's the script of Deeds's new ad "Senator." View the ad below.

Mark Warner into camera:

The choice in this election for Governor is really pretty simple:

Do we move Virginia forward by continuing the pro-business economic policies that I helped put in place...

...Or do we go backwards with the failed economic approach that ruined our economy?

That choice is it, in a nutshell.

Mark Warner did not raise taxes . . . Creigh Deeds is on record in favor of increasing taxes . . . how is that a continuation of the Warner pro-business economic policy?

Bob McDonnell is pro-business as witnessed with the backing of the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce.

The screen name "WeThePeopleofVirginia" certainly shows grandiose illusions. So you represent Virginia in what capacity? Suggest you at least get your facts accurate before you purport to represent Virginians. Mark Warner and the Republican House and Senate with the assistance of a few rational Republicans did raise taxes to get Virginia out of the Gilmore debacle. And Bobbie McD is peddling the same Gilmore “Kool Aid” except it is spiked with social Taliban like dogma and false bromides that only those who are totally indoctrinated can have any attachment to.

Well, this game is almost over.

Bye, bye, Bobby.

But, where is that Gilmore ad for McDonnell?

Still a valid question . . . how is increasing taxes PRO-BUSINESS?

This puts my support for Mark Warner in question. Creigh Deeds is a joke.

Bob McDonnell's message has been clear. He has spelled out in detail exactly what his focus will be for the four short years he is in office.

Creigh Deeds is beholden to the National Organization of Women and Unions at the expense of everyday people who compete in the labor market as individuals.

No front page hit pieces on McDonnell recently, I'll be darned. The compost, like all leftist media these days, ran out of room to run from the truth that Deeds is a flaming disaster. Oh, and by the way, compost, mark warner couldn't carry John Warner's jock..

Funny how the people who don't want to pay taxes are the first in line at the VDOT office to get a tire fixed that was blown out in a pothole. Deeds is HONEST about the situation we are in. McDonnell will have to raise taxes to fix the roads, period. He just won't come out and say it.

Wow. All of you Libs are simply ridiculous and blind. You think Mark Warner's tax increase was sensible? He raised taxes on every citizen and businesses to solve a "budget problem" that never materialized. If you read his own budget, there never was a crisis...in fact the State made nearly .5 Billion on Gilmore's last year in office.

Smart idea to raise those taxes right? Why don't we ask all of those people out in Southwest VA who no longer have jobs if they would like those excess tax dollars back to make ends meet right now? Why don't we ask them if they would rather have their jobs back, since Warner's tax increases on businesses cost VA jobs? Tax and Spend...that all you Libs know how to do.

Rather than simply screaming for another tax increase by supporting Deeds and continuing to support Warner, why don't you nimrods start screaming for more efficiency. If we're going to raise taxes for transportation, then why don't we focus on high-speed rail, more lanes on the interstates, another bridge to Va Beach, and fixing the Fredericksburg Interchange at RT 3 and I95 (which totally clogs up all traffic on northbound and southbound 95)?

So far the best idea to come out of the Warner/Kaine Administrations is the hotlanes, which frankly shows just how stupid and backwards those two administrations were-

Warner managed Virginia out of the bankruptcy caused by Gilmore and the Republicans. McDonnell is a complete fraud who has repackaged himself as a moderate to get elected. His transportation plan is a fraud that he knows would never pass in the Assembly and he would never be held accountable for it. Even his stupid Democratic blue "Fairfax's Own" "NOVA's Own" "Hampton's Own" signs are a complete fraud. God help us if any of those 3 Republican Stooges (Bob, Bill and Cooch) get elected.
