McDonnell, legislators volunteer at foodbank

Gov.-elect Bob McDonnell (R) brings his inaugural day festivities to the capital city today -- the same day the General Assembly convenes its 60-day session.
This afternoon, McDonnell and a slew of legislators will volunteer at the Central Virginia Food Bank.
Scheduled to volunteer with him are members of both parties and both chambers: Sens. Charles Colgan and Tommy Norment, House Majority Leader Morgan Griffith, House Minority Leader Ward Armstrong and Dels. Bob Brink, Scott Garrett, Charniele Herring, Chris Peace and his wife, and Del. Rich Anderson's wife, Ruth.
A last-minute addition: Sen-elect Dave Marsden and his wife, Julia.
McDonnell began traveling the state last week as part of a week-long celebration leading up to his inauguration as the 71st governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia Saturday. Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling (R) and Attorney General-elect Ken Cuccinelli-elect (R) will also be sworn in.
McDonnell's swearing in will be streamed live at www.McDonnellInaugural.com.
