Inaugural festivities kick off today

Put on your dancing shoes!

Bob McDonnell will begin traveling the state today as part of a week-long celebration leading up to his inauguration as the 71st governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia next Saturday. Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling (R) and Attorney General-elect Ken Cuccinelli-elect (R) will also be sworn in.

Today, McDonnell will volunteer at a food bank and then attend the first inaugural ball in Abingdon in southwest Virginia.
