Virginia colleges announcing steep tuition hikes

The University of Virginia announced today that tuition for in-state students will rise almost 10 percent. The decision comes a day after Virginia Commonwealth University announced its tuition will be rising 24 percent for in-state students.
California has seen massive student protests over tuition hikes. Could Virginia's politicians face political problems for the increases?
