Laura Bush kicks off book tour in Virginia

Former first lady Laura Bush kicked off a national book tour today at the Books-A-Million in McLean to promote her new memoir, "Spoken From the Heart."

Check out the video from her first stop below:

Bush is also scheduled to appear at bookstores in Arlington and Washington on Thursday before heading to Dallas on Friday.

I applaud Laura Bush for the courage to mention her killing Mike Douglas when she ran that stop light on her way to the movies back when she was a teen in her book. Although, it's a shame that kind of candor and honesty was missing from her during the eight years her husband was president.
