Christy Goodman covers the City of Alexandria and Arlington County. Christy is a native of Southern Maryland and has a degree in journalism from New York University. She started her career as a reporter for a series of community newspapers covering Brooklyn, Staten Island and Queens in New York City. She returned to D.C. to work for The Washington Examiner and joined The Washington Post staff in 2006.
