McDonnell names Caldwell as new press secretary

Jeff Caldwell, communications chief at the Virginia Department of Transportation, has been named Gov. Bob McDonnell's press secretary.
Caldwell replaces Stacey Johnson, who left Friday to become deputy chief of staff for Rep. Erik Paulsen (R-Minn.)
Paul Logan, formerly deputy political communications director for the Republican Governors Association, joined the press office last week as deputy press secretary.
Taylor Thornley, who currently serves as deputy press secretary and worked on McDonnell's 2009 gubernatorial campaign, will be promoted to deputy director of communications.
