Manassas triple-slaying sparks emotional floor speech about illegal immigration

By Anita Kumar
Anita Kumar

Days after an illegal immigrant was accused of a triple murder in Manassas, a frustrated and angry Del. Jackson Miller took to the House floor Monday to decry the growing problem of "illegal immigration criminals" in his Prince William County district.

"My city is in flames right now! What else am I supposed to do but stand up and scream about these atrocities?'' Miller (R) said in a speech Monday. "My city is falling apart with huge problems in relation to illegal immigration and it is time for us to stop blaming the federal government."

Police say Jose Oswaldo Reyes-Alfaro, 37, a Salvadoran national who was in the country illegally, fatally shot his ex-girlfriend and two other people and wounded three more Friday night in Manassas. The incident occurred a mile from Miller's home.

Miller listed a number of illegal immigrants accused of crimes in Prince William, including Carlos A. Martinelly Montano, an illegal immigrant from Bolivia, accused of killing a Catholic nun in a drunk-driving accident.

The House gave final approval last week to a package of bills designed to crack down on illegal immigration, including a measure based on Prince William County's policy that would require all state and local law enforcement officials to inquire about the immigration status of any person they arrest. Many of the measures are expected to die in the Democratic-controlled Senate in the final weeks of the legislative session.

"I would say if some of this legislation had passed in previous years perhaps some of these tragedies, these atrocities may have been avoided,'' Miller said. "I'm sure I'm going to be accused of of using a tragedy for politics and I'm fanning the flames on the immigration debate....(but) there are things we can do to take this in our control."

You go, Jackson. Do what you have to do to get the bubbleheads in the state senate, who have been blocking common-sense legislation on this subject for at least 5 years, many of whom are in your Party, to pass the legislation that is before them. We're dying here. Literally and figuratively.

You can also go to the Governor and tell him to get the Commissioner of the Department of Labor and Industry, Mr. Courtney Malveaux, off his backside and start enforcing Virginia Code Section 40.1-11.1, prohibiting the employment of illegal aliens. Tell him to contact me if he doesn't know how.

Prince Wiliam Co. Del. Jackson Miller(R) playing politics with the immigration issue? Using a tragedy for political gain? Fanning the flames on the immigration debate? Who would ever think that? He would never do that.
No Republican would ever get votes by immigrant bashing. No, no, never!

In December 2009 my brother was driving home from the vets with his beloved Golden Retriever. A driver doing more than 50 mph ran a red light and hit my brother broadside. I was three hours into a trip to NJ before I found out that he was basically all right - some broken ribs and a lot of bruises - and his dog was battered and bruised but all right. At man who hit my brother blew a .24 which meant he was really really drunk. He had at the time five previous citations for DUI and since he hit my brother he has 2 more citations for DUI. At the time of the accident he was driving without a license, without insurance, and so forth. Oh by the way, he is an illegal immigrant. To date his family and a so-called immigrant rights organization has hired a very good and very high priced lawyer to keep him in the country and out of jail. They argue that either putting him in jail or throwing him out of the country would cause a hardship to his family. To date he is still walking around and driving under the influence. I want this guy either throw out of the country or put in jail. I do not want him to either badly hurt somebody or kill somebody. In addition, I do not know how anyone can disagree with my assessment.

Mr. Reed, I sympathize with you and your brother, but you are talking to deaf ears here. The sufferings and concerns of us native-born Americans are meaningless to open borders propagandists like the Washington Post and to most of our politicians as well.

We don't count to them except one day a year--April 15. On that day, they pat us condescendingly on the back and tell us how much they "value" us. On April 16, they go right back to putting the interests of a criminal illegal immigrant with a string of DUIs, and who likely pays no taxes, ahead of the interests of those of us who pay for their salaries, their staffs, their junkets, and their obscene governmental spending sprees. Our loved ones can be killed by drunken drivers who flout our laws; they can be slaughtered in broad daylight by criminals who should have been deported years ago, but were allowed to stay--none of this is meaningful to our self-appointed "betters." We might as well be livestock for all they care about us.

We have an immigration law that allows far, far too many immigrants into this country, and that needs to be reduced. But we have an EXCELLENT Immigration law and it instructs, as a law, the President of the United States to find and deport the illegal aliens. He brags about what he is doing with border enforcement, but if that enforcement included ..interior enforcement.. the number of illegal aliens he would be deporting would be far, far, far higher. And that IS his job as chief lawman of the United States. He is ..not.. doing that. In addition, he has members of the Lobby Group La Raza (The Race) as advisors that do NOT wish us well. Where does this all end?

I see 189arod is an illegal alien supporter just like the Post. Of course when illegals commit crimes like this cock roach did, its fun to see the illegal alien folks get dry mouth. They sure like to spew the bs in support of illegals, but can never seem to say a negative word about them.

How hard is it to deport someone who has been ordered deported?

I'm sick of hearing they "fell through the cracks." The system needs to be made accountable. Anyone released into the community with a deport order coming up needs an electronic finder device clamped on. Individual officers need to sign off at each step.

There's no excuse for this sloppy work: it directly allows preventable crimes to happn.

Illegal aliens are in this country illegally. There is no doubt that the issue is deep and difficult, but the solution is NOT to force the American People to take these people in and supply them with jobs, welfare, medical care, educational processes and a social system that uses Spanish for its structure. It is a criminal act on the part of the President if he simply leaves the border open, and devote all the resources needed to cure the problem. Not X amount of resources.. not Y amount of resources.. all the resources needed to control the border. Mr. Obama and the Democratic Party opened the border for a while, and only now have begun to close that border.

Congress and the President are in office to protect and serve the people. Until they use all the resources required to control the flow of criminal and less.. illegal aliens, narcotics, weapons, and terrorists, our elected reps are putting the hurt on us pretty good.

And why? Why? What possible agenda drives what amounts to something close to an open border?

An illegal alien who killed his two children in Ga. had FOUR prior arrests in the same locale;had 287(g) been in force then, two innocent children would still be alive.(Google 'Elvis Noe-Garcia';for a time-waster,look up the Gwinett County Sheriffs' Dept, look up the docket for currently incarcerated inmates and note the hundreds under an ICE hold.)

Every Non-representative including obama and holder should be IMPEACHED! for not upholding the oath of office they swore to defend the Constitution! If these clowns were to do their job, this would all be a Moot point!
Anchors and their criminal parents go, period, and cut the phony tears, you knew you were breaking the law when you crossed the border.

Next shut down any business hiring illegal labor and confiscate all property belonging to the owner. Property will be sold at auction and the proceeds to pay for the massive deportation. Oh and owners go to jail.
Got a better idea? Lets hear it!

Has anyone been to California?
An American woman just had her bike stolen from her
while riding it by two damn Latinos!
Meaning illegal Mexicans!
That type of crime is the least of our worries.
The murders, rapes, and robberies are horrible.
The graffiti is so bad that our once nice neighborhood fences are different colors trying to paint over the Mex writings.

Illegal aliens are destroying California the Golden State and we have nothing but idiot politicians running this asylum.
Jerry Brown and Gavin Newsom who won't even live in their neighborhoods.
We need to enforce our laws like Eisenhower did!

These killings by invading foreigners has been called "slow motion terrorism", and the Washington Post by opposing any immigration enforcement is partly responsible for it.

They have the blood of these dead Americans on their hands.

Except NIMROD they are not immigrants, they are invading foreign terrorists. You insult and offend real immigrants, American citizens, and Delegate Miller by calling them "immigrants".

So why do you hate Americans and immigrants so much?

Titled the Birthright citizenship act has become a multiple billion dollar entitlement that must be reduced. The Birthright Citizenship Act of 2011 would add to the existing federal code, a rider that requires at least one parent of a new born to be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident in order for the new born to receive instant citizenship. The Fourteenth Amendment extends citizenship to all persons born in the U.S. and "subject to the jurisdiction"; but it also grants Congress the empowerment to enforce and define the provisions of the amendment. Since the Civil Rights Act of 1866, Congress has defined Birthright Citizenship through appropriate legislation, which for decades has granted citizenship to newborns with both parents’ illegal aliens, foreign tourists or temporary foreign job seekers and students.

The Fourteenth Amendment gives Congress the right to define birthright citizenship differently. As an addition to stopping undisclosed clandestine amnesties Rep. Phil Gingrey (R-Ga.) has introduced H.R. 692 that would purge the extended family visa categories (e.g., married sons and daughters of citizens, etc.), thus ending “chain migration” as suggested by the bi-partisan Barbara Jordan Commission in 1997. Current immigration law allows U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents to sponsor non-nuclear, adult family members, creating an endless chain of mass legal immigration, which has snowballed. Rep. Gingrey's bill would end this practice by disallowing all adult family members from receiving legal permanent residency. America has always been sympathetic to the refugees and asylum seekers, but the unfettered movement of economic illegal immigrants is out of control and diluting in large dollars to the GDP.

The original Ronald Reagan 1986 amnesty was truly a travesty of our laws, which were intentionally neglected by the US Government and the employers. You can do your part as a voter and as pro-sovereignty American to stop this behemoth drain on the federal and municipalities that are straining to offer entitlements to seniors, veterans and other poverty stricken categories. We can no longer accept illegal aliens to our table as free meals, health care, education. MORE IMMIGRATION LEGISLATION ON THE WAY

Sen. Hatch's (R-UT) this week will be introducing major legislation that will Strengthening Our Commitment to Legal Immigration and America's Security Act, abolishing the Visa Lottery, strengthen interior enforcement, and require the implementation of an exit procedure for foreign visitors (of paramount importance to enforce) to the United States. By means this is not a perfect bill, but it face the major problems associated with the illegal alien invasion. The commitment comes in these forms: 1. Restrict the Justice Department and Department of Homeland Security from issuing a mass amnesty to illegal immigrants through the use of delayed action. Deportation cases could only be deferred after being measured on a case-by-case basis. 2. Requires State, county and municipal police to participate in Secure Communities or 287(g) to fully conform to federal immigration enforcement agents.

3. Requires the Department of Homeland Security to create a mandatory exit formula for all foreign visitors to the United States. 4. Eliminates the Visa Lottery that issues 50,000 green-cards despite of the individual's educational or economic attainment. 5. Requires the Department of Health and Human Services to draft a directive every year detailing the dollar amount of federal welfare benefits received by foreign national households in each state and in Washington DC. 6. Allows states to maintain receiving federal matching dollars for covering legal immigrant children and legal immigrant pregnant women, but only after the state has provided the federal government with evidence that at least 90% of its eligible U.S. citizen children and expectant women have been covered by either CHIP or Medicaid. 7. Allows authorities to charge individuals who have used stolen identities, who are also being charged with another felony, to be charged with aggravated identity theft.

However Senator Hatch doesn't cover the massive expenditures endured by hard working taxpayers, whose money is extracted by the IRS to pay for the annual projection of 300.000 pregnant mothers who enter America via the airports, ships or across the poorly fenced border regions. Now relating to this issue of birthright citizenship for any female who can slip across our borders, the Republican Party has introduced a bill to close this loophole, by an amendment or revision of the 14th Amendment. Of course this controversial Amendment is causing consternation through both political parties, specifically the Liberal progressives, all though their rants have not halted over the 63 co-sponsors of H.R.140. http://tinyurl.com/4loovmq
