McDonnell: Palin 'qualified' to be president
Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell (R) said Wednesday on MSNBC that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) is qualified to be president of the United States. I happen to be partial and think governors make great chief executive officers and have the experience to be good chief executive officers of the United States,'' McDonnell told host Andrea Mitchell. "I think Sarah Palin is qualified. I think Republicans are going to have 10 or more people that are looking to run for president in 2012 . I look forward to talking to them, meeting with them and making a decision down the road." Watch the full interview:...

McDonnell to speak to conservative activists at Value Voters Summit
Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell will join fellow Republicans Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee in speaking to conservative activists at the Values Voter Summit in the District later this month. "We are honored that he will join us to speak at this year's summit." Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling and Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli are...

Several thousand expected for Palin in Norfolk
Sarah Palin is coming to Virginia! And one group is particularly excited: the Democratic Party of Virginia, which has been using her upcoming appearance to fundraise for several days. Palin will appear in Norfolk with former Sen. George Allen and former Republican senatorial candidate Oliver North at Freedom Fest, billed as a salute to military veterans. Also expected to attend is Republican congressional candidate Scott Rigell, who is challenging U.S. Rep. Glenn Nye (D). Thousands of conservatives are expected to attend at Old Dominion University. "You can bet she'll be firing off some of those famous 'Palin-isms,' " Democratic Party of Virginia Chairman C. Richard Cranwell wrote to supporters in an e-mail before asking Virginia Dems to "Sound Off to Sarah" by submitting notes expressing their feelings about the visit. Today, the Democrats began circulating some of the responses they received. "We don't need Sarah in Virginia," one Democrat wrote....
