Fairfax County Economic Advisory Commission urges focus on redevelopment, adjusting to aging population
Six years ago, Fairfax County had approximately 600,000 jobs and 380,000 households. Fast forward to 2030, and the work force in Virginia's most populous county will have grown by an estimated 40 percent to 845,000 jobs.

Herndon Republican takes on Fairfax County Chairman Bulova
A Herndon businessman who had been pursuing a run for Virginia's state Senate announced Thursday that he now plans to seek the post held by Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Sharon S. Bulova (D) this fall.

Virginia House, Senate adopt competing budget plans
The Virginia Senate and House of Delegates have adopted competing plans to amend the state's two-year $78 billion budget and will now spend the remainder of this year's legislative session hashing out differences in the documents.
