Gannett Invests In Cell Phone Ad Firm

The NYT's Dealbook blog reports that McLean media giant Gannett "led a $10 million fourth round of venture funding in mobile advertising company 4Info. 4Info, based in Palo Alto, lets people get news and other information via text messaging on their mobile phones.

"Existing investors U.S. Venture Partners and Draper Fisher Jurvetson, and new investor Sand Hill Capital also contributed to the round."
