The Art of Shaving Comes to Pentagon City

Prepping for your cameo on C-SPAN? New York-based specialty store The Art of Shaving is slated to open its first store in the region at The Fashion Centre at Pentagon City in August featuring products such as the ivory- and nickel-plated five-blade Gilette razor and an ingrown hair removal kit complete with educational DVD.

The company began in 1996 when founders Myriam Zaoui and Eric Malka whipped up a batch of pre-shaving oil for Eric's sensitive skin. It now has 17 locations across the country, with the Pentagon City store and nine others set to open later this year.

The Virginia location sells only products, though some stores also have barber services. Their lines aren't cheap -- a silver-tipped badger brush goes for $1,200 on the Web site -- but, then again, HDTV is merciless.
