Capitol Hill Veteran Joins Venable

Washington law firm Venable LLP has hired Capitol Hill veteran Craig Metz as a partner in its government-relations unit. Metz has worked for the past five years as head of government affairs for EMC Corp., a Boston-based technology company. In his new role at Venable, he will continue to represent EMC on technology issues, including patent reform. See the Venable statement

Metz previously served for eight years as chief of staff to the late Rep. Floyd Spence (R- S.C.), and also worked in the administration of Pres. George H.W. Bush.
