Carlyle Opening Office in Warsaw

Carlyle Group announced today that it will open an office in Warsaw, as the District-based private equity firm seeks to build a stronger presence in Eastern and Central Europe. The office will be run by Ryszard Wojtkowski, who previously worked as a managing partner at Enterprise Investors, another private equity firm.

"We see long term opportunity in Central and Eastern Europe. Ryszard's depth and breadth of experience in the financial markets will prove to be great assets as Carlyle establishes itself in this region," Daniel A. D'Aniello, Carlyle and managing director, said in a statement.

Carlyle's new office will seek investments in Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, and Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia.
