Thomas Heath Discusses the Markets

U.S. stocks staged a remarkable comeback during today's trading session, with the Dow Jones industrial average making up nearly all of a 343-point drop by the closing bell. The Dow finished down 15.69, to close at 12,845.78, while the broader Standard & Poor's 500 stock index rose 4.56, to end the day at 1,411.26. The Nasdaq fell 7.76, to finish at 2,451.07.
