Unfortunately I believe that we are limited in what we can focus on. I think that if we proceed with the partisan sideshow of prosecuting Bush admin. officials, healthcare will get lost in the brouhaha.

Readers' Choice

POSTED: 07:47 AM ET, 09/19/2008 by Amanda Zamora

Hello, and welcome to the "readers' choice" edition of The Daily Read -- also known as, the "TDR editor is en route to Houston to see if the lights have come on yet for her family after Hurricane Ike" edition.

Since I'll be away, I leave it to you, our readers, to tell us what we should be watching today in the world of investigative news. So post your suggested reading in the comments below, and we'll highlight our favorite picks in Monday's edition of The Daily Read.

Before we get started, a few guidelines:

  • It should be investigative or accountability news
  • Be sure to include a headline and a link
  • We're looking for original news and/or analysis, not partisan Web sites or opinion
  • Make sure it's new -- something that has been reported within the last 24 hours

With that, we welcome your picks for today's Read.
