Blagojevich Pleads Not Guilty to Corruption Charges

Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich has formally pleaded not guilty to federal racketeering and fraud charges, according to the Associated Press. Blagojevich arrived this morning at the Dirksen Federal Courthouse in Chicago, along with his brother, Robert, to be arraigned on charges of trying to sell President Barack Obama's former Senate seat.
Blagojevich was indicted April 1 on 16 counts, including 11 counts of wire fraud, three counts of extortion, one count of racketeering and one count of lying to federal investigators. Also named in the indictment were Blagojevich's former staffers Lon Monk and John Harris and fundraisers Kelly and William F. Cellini Sr.

With a little luck, Rob can be in the slammer in time to be Bubba's date for the Sadie Hawkins' Day Dance! A little friendly advice, Rob; stock up on "soap on a rope." I understand it's dangerous to drop your soap in the shower.
