Tender ankles
At the end of the first quarter, Antawn Jamison rolled his left ankle on the foot of a photographer who was sitting baseline and will not return. Jamison was limping but was able to get off the floor without any help and the team is calling it a mild sprain. Still, get those darn photogs away from the floor.....Andray Blatche also rolled his left ankle in the first - his happened when he was coming down after making a layup - but he taped it up and just checked back in.
The Wiz are shooting terribly tonight and that's a big reason why they're down 10. One quick thing because it just happened. Before the game tonight, I was asking Caron Butler for his take on the young players and he told me that Nick Young has an uncanny knack for being able to split the double team in pick and roll situations and get to the rim. Butler said Nick is so good at it, it reminds him of when he was a second year guy and Dwyane Wade as doing the same thing as a rookie for the Miami Heat. Sure enough, Nick came over a pick and roll a few minutes ago and split Ben Wallace and Tyrus Thomas like a running back hitting a hole and make a short little runner in the paint. It looked easy. Hmmmmmmm....
Eddie's going heavy on the kids here in the second half. Should be interesting. More later.
