Arenas has knee drained, expects to play
Gilbert Arenas had his left knee drained of excess fluid this morning and though he did not practice today, he has told teammates that he plans on playing tomorrow night at New Jersey. It's the second time since Oct. 17 that the knee has been drained. He complained that the knee felt "stiff" following Saturday's home loss to Orlando and did not practice Monday, Tuesday or today.
The Wiz face another stretch of three games in four days so it will be interesting to see how Arenas moves and how Coach Eddie Jordan uses him. Arenas averaged 41 minutes in the first three games and was obviously not feeling like himself on Saturday night.
Arenas did not speak to reporters today and has not made himself available since Saturday night.
