Butler, Daniels update
The Wizards practiced today and while neither forward Caron Butler nor guard Antonio Daniels took part, they did do individual work and both players are moving closer to returning. Butler,. who has two sprained ankles, said he would get into the gym tomorrow night in Charlotte and hasn't ruled out playing Wednesday night against the Bobcats. Technically, he's a game-time decision.
Before Saturday's loss at Indiana, Daniels told me that he was hoping to return as soon as Saturday's home game against Miami and he hasn't ruled that out as a possibility but my gest guess is that he won't play until Wednesday's home against Detroit at the earliest. He was cleared to run for the first time today and said the knee felt fine afterwards.
However, both Daniels and Butler made it clear that they don't want to rush back and have the injuries linger on into January.
