Trade Deadline update

The trade deadline is at 3 p.m., but there is already a lot going on. Pau Gasol, Shaquille O'Neal and Jason Kidd have already been moved, but it might take some drastic measures to get players like Vince Carter, Ron Artest, Jermaine O'Neal or Mike Miller. It looks like there will be some smaller moves involving players such as Seattle point guard and Prince George's County native Delonte West or Indiana's Ike Diogu.
New Orleans, the surprising first place team in the Western Conference, reportedly is close to completing a deal that will send Bobby Jackson to Houston in exchange for Bonzi Wells and Mike James.
The Cleveland Cavaliers, who failed to land Mike Bibby or Kidd, may be on the verge of providing some serious help for LeBron James.
The San Antonio Spurs made a great below-the-radar move last night prying Kurt Thomas from Seattle for Brent Barry, Francisco Elson and a first round pick.
It might not be an exciting today, but rumors are sure to be floating around. I'll keep you updated throughout the day.
