After giving up 39 first quarter points in Tuesday's loss in Berlin, the Wizards were outscored 32-17 in the opening frame tonight here in Barcelona. On Tuesday, Chris Paul and company gave the Wiz fits with the pick-and-roll and pick-and-pop game. Tonight, the Hornets created open shot after open...

Checking In From Barcelona

Haywood Set For Surgery On Thursday

When Brendan Haywood thought he had only sprained his wrist during training camp earlier this month, he called his friend and former Wizards teammate Jared Jeffries to tell him the news. Jeffries, the New York Knicks forward, didn't have much room for sympathy - earlier in the day, Jeffries had...

Ugly In Berlin

The short-handed Wizards are getting thumped by the New Orleans Hornets here in Berlin (it's 86-57 right now). The Wiz missed their first nine shots, trailed 36-9 at the end of the first quarter and have never been in it. You name it - a lack of ball movement,...

The Other Side: New Orleans Hornets

The New Orleans Hornets helped flip the Western Conference upside down last season as they won the Southeast Division, finished second behind the Lakers, and came within one win from dethroning the San Antonio Spurs in the conference semifinals. The Hornets managed to stay relatively healthy last season, which allowed...
