Wizards (13-44) vs. Bulls (26-32)

Wizards starters: Mike James, Caron Butler, Darius Songaila, Antawn Jamison, Dominic McGuire.

Bulls starters: Derrick Rose, Ben Gordon, Joakim Noah, Tyrus Thomas, Luol Deng.

Refs: Mark Wunderlich, Matt Boland, Bennie Adams.

Line: Bulls by 5.5.

-The place has a little extra buzz tonight because the President is expected to be in the house. I arrived a little early and expected a hassle but found the process pretty easy. It actually takes longer to check in for a flight so not bad.

-The Bulls are 2-0 against the Wizards and come to town with a better team on paper than the one that earned those wins in Chicago on Dec. 6 and Jan. 9. It's not bad when you can bring vets like Brad Miller, John Salmons and Kirk Hinrich off the bench.

-Nothing really new to report about the Wizards, who have lost two straight - both here at home - and continue to lack anything looking like consistency. Nick Young will sport a bald look however. Apparently he messed up while doing something with the clippers and had to shave it off. He was getting killed in the locker room before the game.

-Gilbert Arenas was here extra early getting his work in and was walking around the locker room before the game. Not sure whether he'll be on the bench or not.

Hopefully the Wiz will be competitive for the Pres, don't lose like 100-70!

I would imagine that Chicago is gonna be pretty juiced up and looking to play well after meeting the Prez. Hopefully the Wiz will have a chip on their shoulder about that.

After years of watching prez at nba games, Prez O entrance to the game was by far the baddest I've ever seen! It was awesome seeing the ref stopping the tip-off to honor the prez before the game started.

Play of the game was when McGee caught an ally loop then saluted to the prez.

Call of the day was when prez O announced withdrawal of our troop in 2010.

Wow, President Obama can come to every Wizards game!

Butler said that for the first time in his life, he had butterflies in a basketball game.

Given that level of intensity, the young guys played fairly well and looked like they had some fun. Maybe this game reflects a turning point, or at least a confidence builder (until they play a good team again).

Why wuz people saluting Obama? He's not ex-military, and neither are they.

Probably just happy to see him. It's a funny phenomenon -- the guy shows up, people start smiling.

Except the ones who start snarling, of course.
