Stevenson Undergoes Surgery

The Wizards just announced that DeShawn Stevenson has undergone successful back surgery to repair a herniated disc.

From the news release:

The procedure was performed this morning by Dr. John Starr at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC. Stevenson is expected to make a full recovery and will begin the rehabilitation process in two weeks. He will be able to resume basketball activity in three to four months.
Stevenson has missed 29 games this season due to lower back pain. He averaged 6.6 points and 3.1 assists in 32 games played.

Were they able to perform a brick extraction at the same time or do we have to endure them one at a time again next year?

Hopefully he can return to last year's form! I can understand back problem could have hindered his shooting this year.

3 to 4 months with this medical staff means he'll be back in January

I don't really understand some of the negative posts towards Stevenson. It seems pretty obvoius the way he played this year was due his physical problems.

Yeah, let's kick a guy when he is down and be unfair to boot.

Wonder if LeBron sent MeShawn some flowers or a card.

Nahhhh.......................

Cannon,

Nice post. Sad that people are kicking him when he is down and getting surgery. He is not my favorite player, but it was clear his physical problems were the reason in his drop in production.
